Background
Evgenia joins Enyo Law with 20 years of experience managing multi-jurisdictional commercial disputes, with focus on high-stakes shareholder conflicts, derivative actions, and more recently sanctions-related litigation, including claims against financial institutions and delisting proceedings. While based in New York, Zurich, London and Dubai, for the past 15 years she headed international litigation department of the Renova Group followed by her role as the chief legal officer of AIM Capital, the holding company of the Eurochem/SUEK group. Evgenia brings with in-depth understanding of client’s needs and expectations in developing and pursuing litigation strategy, coupled with strong knowledge of common law litigation process, as well as sanctions regulations under US/UK/EU and Swiss Russia-related sanctions programmes.
Evgenia is admitted to the NY state bar and qualified to practice law in Russia. She speaks Russian and English.
- Represented SUAL Partners in two related multi-party London seated LCIA arbitrations in relation to UC Rusal, according to Global Arbitration Review ‘thought to be one of the largest Russia-related disputes ever heard in London’
- Represented Renova Group parties in their multi-jurisdictional dispute with Emmerson Group and Mikhail Abyzov arising out of a failed joint venture in the power generation sector, including ancil-lary multi-party proceedings, successful anti-suit injunction and discharge of multi-billion dollar freezing orders, upheld on appeal
- Represented Renova Group in several confidential ad-hoc arbitrations in relation to shareholder disputes concerning TNK-BP
- Represented Renova Resources in its successful breach of fiduciary duty claim in the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands: Renova Resources Private Equity Ltd. V Brian Gilbertson and others.
- Represented claimant in its multi-jurisdictional multi-party shareholder dispute in relation to VSMPO-Avisma, one of world’s largest titanium producers, including London-seated arbitration, as well as BVI, Cyprus and New York State court proceedings
- Represented claimant in London seated LCIA proceedings against an investment bank arising out of a derivatives contract, including a related fraud claim and successful freezing order in support of the arbitration
