Andy specialises in civil fraud and banking litigation and has over two decades of experience handling some of the most complex, high-value international disputes to come before the English Court or arbitral tribunals including:
- Sumitomo Corporation v Credit Lyonnais (USD2 billion copper trading fraud)
- Sibir Energy v Abramovich (USD2.6 billion fraud dispute)
- Acting for Total Energy in the Buncefield litigation (c.GBP1 billion claims arising from the largest explosion in peacetime Europe)
- Bank St Petersburg v Arkhangelsky (only case to feature 3 times in The Lawyers Top 20 Cases)
- Chernukhin v Deripaska (including successfully defending contempt
proceedings)
Andy has particular experience representing major corporates, UHNWs, banks and other financial institutions in their most serious cases. Background
Andy graduated from the University of Oxford and prior to joining Enyo Law in October 2023, Andy had previously been a senior partner at Allen & Overy, where he led the civil fraud team and was a member of the banking litigation team.
